Berryaudio and Camebridge dacmagic

I have installed Berry Audio without any issue. Although, when i trying to set the mixer to my DAC, a Camebridge DacMagic, i can't get any sound/signal to the amp. I have used dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus for this DAC but it does not seems to work.
Perhaps it is easier to change the "/boot/config.txt" and add "dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus"

Please advise

Setting dtoverlay from the Ui should work, ofcourse you can directly set it in config aswell :)

Let me know how that goes.

Hi
I have tried to change the "dtoverlay from the Ui" but have not find the right setting yet. Tried several settings but no signal, no sound or no progress. Will try more tomorrow when my wife is at work and i have the day off.

Tried several (a lot) of combos related to dtoverlay and my Cambridge dac but have not suceded. Running Berryaudio througt the built in headphone connection on the Raspberry, whch works fine. One thing that is needed is to go in to dsp and change the gain to ~ 0 (or whatever you prefer). Otherwise, on my amplifier that i am using for berryaudio, a Sansui AU-505, whe volumelevel is all to low.

Going to compare the sound as i have different Raspberrys with different distributions but as Berryaudio has DSP i think that everyone can tweek the sound so it will fit.

Keep up the good work

My earlier post i valid for Spotify through my Iphone. When playing radio there is no "low sound" problem :-)

Great! thank you for the update :D

Also to keep in mind:
By default i have set the Volume Control as Software (for minimal setups)
If you use a DAC that uses hardware volume do change it to hardware volume in Mixer Settings and set the volume control to 100% might be that the volume is too low because of that ?

Hi,

Firstly thanks for creating Berryaudio. I absolutely love the simple and intuitive interface.

I used to run RuneAudio with my Cambridge Dacmagic100 but it stopped working at some point.

I tried several available settings in the mixer but none of them seem to work. Is the Dacmagic100 something that could be added in future or should it work with the available options?

Thanks for your consideration.

Thankyou :)

Could you share the settings that you are trying to apply

Also if you are familiar with shell commands prompt could you copy paste what you see when you type. aplay -l and aplay-L

I see the Dacmagic100 listed by 'play -l' allright but it doesn't show in the Mixer options?

Since your card is detected by the OS as CARD=C2,DEV=0 and its a USB device "dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus" will not work
In fact dtoverlay is not required

I have added a new entry to the mixers list.
Replace the attached mixers.json
mixers.json.zip
unzip before use.
(1.79 KiB) Downloaded 4008 times
file in /home/pi/berryaudio/mixer/

1. Restart the pi
2. Go to Settings -> Mixers -> Cambridge Audio DAC100
3. Restart

This should work I guess, Let me know if this helps
