I am just wondering what spotify connect client you're using in this project? looks like maybe librespot? does the API allow for operational player controls for the touchscreen? (Play/pause/skip etc.)

Hi yes it uses librespot
Unfortunately there is no option for playback control in spotify unless librespot community plans on releasing something
