First impressions

Hi there,

i tried berryaudio the first time today. Installation was straight forward.

My UX impressions so far:

- why do i have to press the Power button on the Home screen to access any menu or functionality? - that is contra intuitive. Is Berryaudio device actually in a standby mode or is that just UI? At least let me click anywhere on the Home screen..

- Main menu -> give us some arrows left and right - i really searched for Settings

- Airplay Sink is only visible in the Network after selecting it in berryaudio ui - thats bad UX - I have to first access berryaudio ui and then use my sender device to connect.. (let me enable Aircast Sink in Settings and done..)

- Airplay does not work - after enabling airplay i can connect a device but berryaudio stays mute and tells me: "No device connected"

- Multiroom: i can see my Snapcast Server - but i can't connect. One time multi room page straight away stopped loading UI until i rebooted. Next time i always get a "'bool' object has no attribute 'uri'" error message. On one occasion i had to reboot to get any audio afterwards, on another i could at least play a radio afterwards..

- what does the icon next to volume? (the little screen with the play button inside)

- Bluetooth works well until it crashes the whole appliance - same as Airplay: why do i need to interact with the UI to enable it after first setup?

- why is apply/save settings a reload button on the top right?

+ Radio stations pre-configured

+ overall nice and snappy UI

still some way to go.. Keep it up - i try again in a Year.

Re: First impressions

Noted your feedback, thank you for that

May be you could try the new release 5.0.0 since lot of bluetooth, multiroom and Airplay issues were fixed

Also could you let me know the raspberry pi version you were using. This will enable me to debug issues better
